To bring a smile to a needy child's face. To bring a little more happiness to a family that may be struggling with not just the financial burden of paying medical bills but with the mental burden of watching their child struggle. To bring a better quality of life to that child who without our help may never get the attention they need.

The Heart of Gold Foundation is a nonprofit organiztion that helps better the quality of life of children, who, without our help, may never get the attention they need. In the past, proceeds from our fundraising have provided medically challenged children the opportunity to attend a week-long summer camp with the appropiate medical facilities to meet their special needs.

Based in Dallas, the funds we raise primarily go to support Camp Moss, a week-long summer camp every year at Camp John Marc in North Texas for children who have had heart surgeries. Camp Moss focuses on bolstering its campers' self esteem by building strong relationships with fellow campers who have heart diseases and promote an "I can do it," attitude in each camper.

We help staff Camp Moss with doctors, nurses and the medical equipment these kids need in order to have a true summer camp experience. We also provide golf carts for transporting kids between activities as needed and transport luggage.
In 2013, we added two other children's organizations to those we support: The Texas Scottish Rite Hospital and their Camp Out on a Limb, which provides a camp experience for children between the ages of 5 and 17 with multiple limb amputations or with a rotation plasty, and Our Children's House at Baylor, which provides a week at camp for children treated at Baylor hospitals.
